Water is precious and limited resource. It is essential for plants, animals and human beings to survive. If there is not enough water they will eventually die from dehydration. Water is the most vital input in agriculture and has a significant contribution in providing stability to food grain production and self-sufficiency. The expected climate change in the 21st century will have pronounced negative impact on overall water availability and its quantity. Major adverse effects will decrease in the rainfall. Also, climate change is responsible for occurrence for more frequent droughts, and decrease in river flows and reduction in ground water recharge.
