The world has shrunken
The world has shrunken. A few decades ago, each country was wrapped up in itself but in today’s world traditions and individuality have new perceptions and sense for consumers. Previously, each country believed its own culture to be the best and few people were exposed to cultures outside their own.Traditions and culture are set of practices, beliefs, values and way of life which have been transferred to generations through their ancestors and society around them. Each country has its own traditions.
One of the major impact of outside influence on our culture and traditions is the globalisation on fashion. Fashion has cultural and social implicatons in every era but quickly globalizing world is multiplying its impact on everyday life. In former times, clothes develop according to culture and, especially religious belief. For example, women were expected to be modest in dress, they cover themselves more. But in today’s world, our society is so fascinated by other countries adaptations. Now there are no rules like being practical is the main rule, minimum clothing is emphasized for both men and women. Moreover, in China hopping represents modernity so youngsters are more inclined towards it as it offers them to get into a public circle with identity. Citizens of globalized world choose fashion according to their interest, identity and class instead of traditions.
Furthermore, effects of the globalization can be tracked through adoption of economic activities. The culture of aur ancestors existed for thousands of years without doing any substantive damage to the ecosystem. In a very few centuries modern culture has eliminated or endangered numerous plant and animal species, degraded many waterways and negatively impacted the health of many ofits citizen.
Globalization has resulted in detrimental effects to the economies and cultures of some countries groups and individuals. Globalization contributes to the gap between the wealthy and the poor. It is the exceptionally useful thing for owners and directors but not profitable for labor class. It is a fact that the big corporations cannot fumction without these labors. All the financial profit go to the owners and directors including allowances and bonuses. So along these lines rich individuals turn out to be more extravagant and poor go towards neediness. It is wisely said by Nestor Kirchner, “We must create a kind of globalization that works for everyone…..and not just for few”.
On the other hand, it is a good thing that countries of the world learn about each other. As times are getting more and more progressive, we are learning to be more accepting. Many social issues are now openly discussed instead of being kept in the dark. A country progress faster when it opens itself to outside influence or more commonly known as globalization. Outside influence make the society more creative and prosperous, but also more vulnerable. Hence, the invasion of foreign culture must not overwhelm the tradition and culture of one’s own country as it takes centuries to evolve and represent milestones in the evolution of a culture.
