Without defining the role and responsibilities, it is like a boat without a rudder moving around the circles it has nowhere to go doesn’t know the destination. So every teacher has to know which role he is applying, roll could be different depend on the circumstances ,like as are they normal people or are they special needs people or are they teenage people or are they adult people. The focus of your role relates very much to inspiring your learners to change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability. Similarly their primary responsibility is to ensure that learners are enrolled onto the correct course, in terms of meeting their needs, abilities and aspirations. Today a teacher has become a mentor who should guide students through the thorns of education. A teacher plays a key role in the society growth, as they help to shape the mindset of the nation.
Teachers are an extremely important facet of any society for a number of reasons and their role in society is both significant and valuable. Teachers are the people who educate the youth of society who in turn become the leaders of the next generation of people, teaching children and imparting knowledge upon them in their most impressionable years and what children learn from their teachers at a young age will most likely stay with them in some facet for the rest of their lives. Teachers play an extraordinary part in the lives of children for the formative years of their development and the importance of teachers is something that cannot be understated. They involve themselves in molding their students into responsible citizens of their country.

Student get exhausted because every time studying in the school by doing homework, class activity and etc., but teacher cultivate the love of learning by encourage any interest a child has, everything is opportunity to learn, seeking answer together, and focusing on strength.
It would be nice to think that all we need to do is put a child into a classroom and instantly they fall in love with subject (English, Mathematics and Science). The reality, of course, is that this rarely happens. However, as soon as a child shows an interest in something (a sport, creative art, music, etc). Teacher show an interest in it and encourage child to learn by sharing the scope of their interest. Teacher teach them learning is fun, motivating and rewarding. Especially in field trips, they visit Takshang and talk about pressure, why they get exhausted faster when they go uphill. Set up a zip line and talk about gravity and friction. Visiting to the zoo and asking them to reflect on what they have seen.
Leaner gets irritated when they are not able to get correct answer. However, not to happen such thing they seek answers together. As Moron has share in his paper, questions get answered to the best of their ability. “Just because” and “I don’t know” are off the table. Instead, if one of the students has a question or one of them is curious about something, we will find the answer together. In the same way our teacher seeking answer together with students and make them more confident to learn. It also teaches students to follow their intellectual curiosities and their interests have value, while at the same time giving them real, authentic practice with research.
Student do not want to come to school because of their weaknesses. Weaknesses is a reason that a child displays in school that tend to get the most attention. It’s the weaknesses that usually lead to interventions, extra classes, private tuition, or set changes. A low mark or grade, or difficulty in a certain aspect of a subject can have a really demoralizing effect on a child. Bhutanese teacher support to help them address and overcome weaknesses but don’t forget all the other positive things that a child does. Parent has been complaining that with time students were not prepared, our children (students) will not survive in this changing world.
I completely object this point because the demands on schools are not restricted for preparing students for the increasing demands of the labor market. A child needs to grow to be an informed member of the society in which they live and to have the knowledge and capabilities to participate. In addition to acquiring basic cognitive, social and emotional skills. Teacher let student to understanding how his or her own country is organized, and how it connects to a globalized world. Our teacher are foster the skills needed to become a well prepared to face anything in this uncertain time, teacher help to develop these skills. They equipped students through collaboration and group-discussions on life skills (empathy, sympathy, compassion, etc.), cultural appreciation, ethnic, gender identities, general knowledge of current world affairs and other challenges. Moreover, Bhutanese teacher emphasis on important of GNH (Gross National Happiness).
I would say that teacher are also preparing students in a competing world. In fact, our youth stood fifth in global robotics competition which was held in Mexico on August 16th to 18th. Off course this was coordinated by FabLab Bhutan but remember that these students were well prepared with basic knowledge and nurture by teacher during school time. From here we can also say that indirectly teacher play vital role to nurture future citizen and prepared for an uncertain time.
According to Costin, 2017 students must be understood about his own school, community, and country. If we truly want to prepare them to become knowledgeable and active members in their countries. Similarly, our teacher also help students and publics to understand about their locality, needs of country and how to strengthen the country. Not only teaching and informing, Bhutanese teacher act as meditator between Tsa Wa Sum.
Some of the parent says that sometime I doubt, is teacher really teach about attitude and good behavior or they just only literate them. Knowing ABCD is not enough to our children to become good citizen.
Primary aim of teacher is to educate future citizen. Teachers have the greatest impact on a student’s social development. Student view teacher as ”my ideal person”. So, students observe and learn from their teacher’s behavioral pattern and they adopt it. As students observe them carefully and they are quick to accept and exercise any new behavior that they have observed from their teacher. Not just teachers but peers and family members also impact child’s social development. But greater responsibilities lies on the teachers to illustrate them as an ideal role model for students and also they have the duty to correct students whenever they find them using improper words and actions. Moreover, observe them from time to time. A teacher can help a student build his social skills by strengthening communication and interaction skills by making student understand how to make use of problematic situations as learning experience also by providing teacher’s intervention from time to time.
To sum up the point, as a teacher his role and responsibility is not just about teaching his subject or preparing learners for assessment. They ensure that learners are enrolled onto the correct course by promoting a safe and supportive learning environment. The focus of teacher role relates very much to inspiring his learners to change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability. In our society teacher ultimate aim is to enable our learners to understand how to take responsibility for their own development and nation. Teacher clear communication with his learners, society, other professionals and stakeholders. Promoting appropriate behavior and respect for others and create harmony in the society. Being reflective, which means learning from successes as well as mistakes.
Getting the best from your students might not be easy – but we should try to achieve it all the time, ‘boring’ subjects included. Remember that things have changed and what worked for you might not work for a class of children or teenagers nowadays. They have different demands and have to live up to new expectations, so be prepared to understand them and offer the best class you can.
