Partnership in safeguarding young people involves collaborating with a wide variety of people such as colleagues, parents, GP, community, police and government. Working effectively together as a unit to safeguard children and avoid meeting a crisis point. We should always feedback to colleagues and parents in the first instance if we have any worries about a young person’s behaviour in a place of education or play. Working with professionals and agencies gives us as the assurance that if anything was to happen to a young person under our care, that we can go to them with any concerns we see fit. Each professional or agency has a different role, under the same duty of care, of expertise to assist with vulnerable young people and coordinate the necessary help required to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.
