Ever since I was 10 years old
Ever since I was 10 years old, I wanted to program just like my parents. I have always been fascinated by the world of computer science. I am extremely interested in electronics, but that interest does not stop at just electronics; it extends to computers. I have always been strong in the area of computers. From software to hardware I have a natural inclination to understanding and operating computers. I love to come up with creative solutions to complicated problems presented by computer softwares.
I’m hoping to go to the Summer Summit so that I can learn the fundamentals of coding. I want to become more technical and obtain the skills I need to build the software that I want to exist, rather than just imagine it. My future career is going to NC State to learn computer engineering. Computer engineers require a high level of training and intelligence to be skilled at their job. I hope that this experience will help me obtain some skills that will benefit me in my future career.
I want to participate in the Summer Summit because I want to learn more about coding and computers. This event is a great opportunity to gain more knowledge about coding. The Summer Summit will provide me with information while preparing for future career opportunities in STEM. Connecting with professionals is also something that will help me further my career in computers. I also want to be encouraged and reminded that girls can code too!
My career of choice is computer engineering. Technology skills are needed to code computers. Computer coding can’t be done without these skills. Some technology skills needed include database knowledge, website coding, graphic design, and basic information about computers.
