The independent variable in this scenario would be the type of actions a leader does in order to gain the trust of his subordinates. You can implement different variations of trust building exercises but ultimately it is up to the employees to be able to trust you and it is not an easy task. The type of trust you establish will dictate the response from the employees of how much they are willing to really on their leader. This is because in today day and age the hard-working employees have a right not to trust leader given that so much negative feedback from leaders that trust now needs to be earned. Associating with others is a standout amongst the best ways one can lead in today’s economy as the saying says trust is earned not given especially in the management position. I totally agree with this because as a follower I look for somebody that is not afraid to also get dirty and do that manual labor fi help is needed I look for a leader that leads by example. My trust falls in the leader that puts aside his personal gains and makes sure everybody has the materials needed to do the job correctly. When employees do not feel sale, they will ultimately do things to protect them self’s that will damage and hurt the culture and the organization.

Trust is as I mentioned before not given just because you are of high authority trust is earned by the time and effort you put in showing subordinates that you actually care for their feelings. trustworthiness is important to all human relationships, but it is essential for leadership effectiveness and the ability to prepare for and drive organizational change.
The variables are discussed in the study are all relevant to the way a leader are able to builds both commitment, and that leads toward excellence in the performance of individuals and organizations. For example, before going on a trip you first have to know the person that I driving care for your life as much as you do in order to trust them with it. This goes the same with a business point of view a employee must first feel that he is not just going to be worked tirelessly day in day out only for the manager/leader to benefit from the success. An employee must feel that his concerns and opinions are being heard. As, a leader to be successful in the long run and for others to follow you must be willing to utilize the study as a course guide of how to properly gain your subordinates trust from them.
